Muslim for one day
When we came here we were so lucky to start luganda-lessons right away. Our teacher Ismail, comes over one hour everyday to teach us luganda. It’s hard, but we’re getting there. We are now able to go to the market and tell them what we want; Bogoya sente meka? (How much is it for the bananas?) So we are making progress, luckily! To make it easier to remember all off the words, we have decided to have one day free every week. So every Thursday were going to have an excursion together with our teacher. This Thursday we went to the biggest mosque here in Kampala. All dressed up with scarf’s and long skirts.
Our teacher is a Muslim so he could tell us quite much about the religion, and since he used to go to this mosque every Friday he got some friends to show us around.
